BLS for Healthcare Providers
Intended for
individuals required to act in emergencies or mandated for
licensing... Covers
core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer
scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction,
and AED
Adult, Child, Infant CPR and First Aid:
For those who have a
duty to respond to first aid or cardiac emergencies because of job
responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
Includes managing illness and injuries in the minutes until
professional help arrives. Covers
general principles, medical
emergencies, and Injury emergencies.
OPTIONAL: AED use and environmental emergencies such as heat
related injuries.
This can be taught in
two segments.
Adult CPR, Child, Infant CPR(AED)
Teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults, children and
infants. Use of
barrier devices. Optional:
Infant CPR. Use of
mask. AED.
First Aid:
Teaches managing
illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help
arrives. Includes
general principles, medical emergencies, and injury emergencies.
Optional: Environmental Emergencies such as heat related
illness.
Pediatric First Aid:
For those involved in
child care who have a duty to respond to first aid because of job
responsibility or
regulatory requirements.
Includes managing
illness and injuries in a child. Topics
include First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury
Emergencies, Environmental
Emergencies.
Family and Friends CPR and First Aid:
For those in the
general community who want to learn CPR and First Aid but do not need
a course completion card.
Teaches CPR in adult,
children or infants and how to help a choking victim. Optional:
First Aid teaches managing illness and injuries in the minutes until
professional help arrives.
